A Virtual Concert in Time of Crisis

A Virtual Concert in Time of Crisis

You may have attended Ars Choralis concerts of words and music in the past. Each of them had a particular purpose: healing after 9/11, solace after the 2014 tsunami, help for victims of Hurricane Katrina and the Haiti earthquake.

And now, as we shelter in place in response to the current crisis, we offer a new experience, A Virtual Concert in Time of Crisis

The 10-minute concert includes three pieces:

  • A heartwarming setting of Martin Luther’s prayer for peace, “Da Nobis Pacem Domine,” set for two cellos, chorus, and piano by Felix Mendelssohn
  • Jean Ritchie’s “Cool of the Day” arranged for women’s voices by Jeanne Smith
  • Dave Riley’s “Celtic Blessing”

We hope the beauty of the music and images melded with words of love and encouragement will fill your heart with renewed confidence in the promise of tomorrow.
