Spring Concert Cancellation

Spring Concert Cancellation

Ars Choralis regrets to announce that our performances of Annelies, scheduled for April 18 and 19, have been canceled. The beautiful setting of excerpts from Anne Frank’s diary has been an inspiration to those of us rehearsing it. We are very disappointed that we cannot share it with you as planned but look forward to doing so in the future.

Although the chorus is temporarily suspended, we are all eagerly anticipating our return to regular rehearsals and concerts. We will be monitoring the progression of the pandemic carefully and will keep updating everyone of our concert plans as we receive more information. Our hope is to perform the Fauré Requiem on June 20 and 21 at the historic Maverick Concert Hall in Woodstock.

Anne Frank wrote, “It feels like the world is turned upside down.” We cannot compare our “upside-down” world to Anne’s, but we can take heart and inspiration from her courage, wisdom, and indomitable spirit as we move through the challenges facing us.
